Her Majesty's Courts Service
Part of the Department for Constitutional Affairs
Her Majesty's Courts Service brings together on 1st April 2005 the Magistrates' Courts Service and Court Service into one single organisation for the first time.
We are an executive agency of the Department for Constitutional Affairs (DCA).
Our purpose is to deliver justice effectively and efficiently to the public. We are responsible for the administration of the civil, family and criminal courts in England and Wales.
Within this site, you will find a wide range of information covering:
- Details on all our courts and how to find them
- Hearing lists for the Supreme Court offices and some Crown Courts
- Information on procedures and processes
- Forms and guidance to help you when using the courts
- Annual reports and business plans
We will also publish news and details about local events in your area. This includes consultation exercises on proposed changes to the courts and open days when you can visit your local court.
You can also link to the DCA website to find information that is relevant to you.
I hope you find the site interesting and informative. We welcome feedback on the layout and content of the new site and look forward to hearing your views.
